The Guild Manifesto

We built The Guild for the people who know an industry because they carried it. Not the people who visit for a day.

The claims adjuster who spots fraud patterns before the algorithm does.
The TPA administrator who can read a stop-loss contract in their sleep.
The title officer who knows exactly where exceptions hide, which customer always pays late, and which consultant is bluffing.

We believe the person who has processed claims for 25 years knows more about claims than a room full of software people ever will.

We believe that knowledge should not be rented by the hour.

Know-how should earn equity.

America runs on service industries Silicon Valley calls boring.
Claims adjusters. TPAs. Title officers. Benefits brokers. Small business lenders. The people who keep the economy moving while tech chases consumer apps.

Their software is late by twenty years because the people building it have never processed a claim, underwritten a policy, or closed a title search.

So we do it differently.

We do not build for experts.
We build with them.

You should not have to become a pitch deck to turn a lifetime of operating knowledge into a product.
You should not have to invoice your wisdom like a consultant.
You should not have to hand your industry to outsiders just because they know how to talk venture capital.

With The Guild, one founding member leads each industry segment.
Not as an advisor.
Not as a consultant.
As a founder.

Together, we turn hard-won operating knowledge into software your industry actually needs.
And the people who help shape it — your team, your peers, your network — get to share in the value they create.

This is not about getting Silicon Valley to respect your industry.

It is about replacing them in it.

Co-Build. Co-Own. With Moative.

The Guild Charter

Expertise is equity.

Build with, not for.

Every product is co-created with industry practitioners. Never designed in isolation by technologists who've never seen your operation.

No founder cosplay.

We never ask you to write OKRs, pitch investors, or manage engineers. You contribute what you're great at. We handle the rest.

Transparent economics.

Every participant sees how value flows. Contribution points, revenue shares, pool allocations — all visible, all the time.

Community ownership.

The Guild isn't a focus group. Your network — the people who test, validate, and spread the word — has real economic stakes in the products they help shape.

Why The Guild Exists

You've seen this movie before. We're changing the ending.

Without The Guild

  • Generic platforms that need six consultants and eighteen months to configure
  • Built by technologists who've never processed a claim or closed a title search
  • Your knowledge leaves as a consulting fee that stops the moment you do
  • Your industry gets ignored because VCs think the TAM is "too small"

With The Guild

  • Software built from your actual workflows, by people who listened
  • A permanent revenue share — your knowledge becomes an annuity
  • Your community earns too — everyone who helps shape the product gets paid
  • One founding guild member per vertical. You're the authority, not a line item

Sound like your industry?

We're looking for one founding Guild member per vertical. If you've spent years watching bad software fail your industry, we should talk.

How The Guild Works

Four steps. A few hours a month. Permanent upside.

01

Share what you know

Walk us through the workflows, pain points, and "this is how we actually do it" knowledge that no outsider has. A few hours a month, on your schedule.

02

We build the software

Moative handles all engineering, design, go-to-market, sales, and customer success. You don't write code, raise money, or manage anyone.

03

Your community validates

Your network beta tests, gives feedback, and refers customers through The Guild. They earn from a shared revenue pool for every contribution.

04

Everyone earns

You get a direct revenue share (10+% of net revenue). Your Guild members earn through transparent, points-based quarterly distributions.

Vesting: 4 years with 1-year cliff. After full vesting, your revenue share continues for the life of the product.

The Economics

We show you exactly where every dollar goes.

Layer 1

Moative (The Studio)

Builds, sells, and maintains the product. Bears all financial risk. Owns the IP.

Layer 2

Founding Guild Member (You)

10+% of net revenue, paid quarterly. Plus a profits interest in the vertical's entity.

Layer 3

Guild Members (Your Network)

5-10% of net revenue pooled and distributed quarterly by contribution points.

Worked Example

If the product generates $500K/year in net revenue:

Contribution Points

Customer referral (signed contract) 500
Trade show co-presentation 300
Anonymized operational data 250
Workflow documentation session 200
Regulatory/compliance review 200
Beta testing cycle 150
Content creation (case study) 150
Feature validation interview 100
Customer referral (qualified lead) 100
New Guild member recruitment 50

Net revenue = gross revenue minus cost of goods sold (hosting, third-party APIs, payment processing). Not after Moative's corporate overhead.

One guild launches. Then it multiplies.

1

Your guild reaches product-market fit in one vertical — say, claims adjusting.

2

You spot adjacent verticals where similar workflows exist — TPAs, self-insured employers, MGAs.

3

You introduce Moative to anchor experts in those spaces — earning 1-3% cross-equity in the new vertical.

4

New guilds launch faster because they're seeded by someone who already knows the model.

5

The Network Fund (2% of every vertical's revenue) grows with each launch — rewarding the people who grow the ecosystem.

"No horizontal SaaS company can replicate a self-expanding network of industry insiders who are paid to grow the ecosystem."

Cross-equity capped at 3 positions per member. Moative retains sole discretion on new verticals. Quality over quantity.

How much time does this actually take?
